The first two images are of old barns telling their stories in a quiet but strong way. The third is Dr. Moore’s office on the Walnut Grove Plantation site, an historic preserved plantation.

The Old Homestead Barn
Al and I did one of our wanders last Friday and found an old barn out in rural South Carolina which is about to be torn down. If you want to see this type of scene, you need to do it soon.
Plaza Hotel, Las Vegas, NM
Here are the promised photographs of the Plaza Hotel. I is a warm, beautiful, handcrafted hotel of a sort not often seen in “modern” hotels. It is definitely worth a visit.
TAI Modern
The TAI Modern is a museum devoted to the art of Japanese bamboo weaving and features several weavers. Here is the link for more information. Ihttps://taimodern.com. It is weekly worth a visit for a few hours.
The Old House Revisited
The old house that Alice and I found caught my eye again as I was looking through sone of nay more recent files and I found some images that appealed to me.
Old Pecos Trail
I love New Mexico for its friendly people, interesting architecture and wonderful colors. These were taken while wandering up Old Pecos Trail road which still retains its pioneering look.
Peace Center
The Peace Center for the Performing Arts is one of Greenville’s primary attractions and is very photogenic.
Lunenburg, NS Revisited
I go back and look at my pictures and sometimes images stand out to me so I rework them a bit and share some of them.
Monochromania
I have looking through my older files and found some images I like and here they are. Shapes and shadows are great to work with.
Rainy Day Wall
This wall is an ideal location for rainy day shooting. The relatively subtle colors and textures seem to be strengthened by the wetness. The shapes of the doors and windows are also interesting for thier patterns.
An Old Home Place
A few days ago Alice and I found an old house but I forgot to put a memory card in my camera but the light was lousy, so nothing lost. The second time I was more careful and here are some of the images. The old home and surrounding property is magical.
There were more things to see but they are for next time.

Glorieta, NM
Glorieta ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glorieta,_New_Mexico ) is one of those small but intense gems that can be found in many places but the ones I have found in New Mexico intrigue me the most. The buildings with their earth tones and the blue skies as well as the kind of remoteness all add up to something special.

Some places are difficult to leave or forget and I seep coming back to Lamy.
Heat, Kudzu. Old Buildings and Inspiration, Another Ride
Al and I took a ride out to Pacolet, SC and found what we were looking for, namely. old buildings and kudzu. The inspirational graffito on the corner of an old building was a bonus.
More Farm Scenes
The Old Barn
This is a place Al and I visit fairly frequently on our toodles out into the countryside. The farmer is very friendly and we always look forward to our visit.
Waco Grain Mill, Waco, NC
Yesterday, Al and I revsited Waco, NC and its grain mill, which may no longer be active.The shapes the structures and the sense of history around the place completely captured my attention.
Old Business Site
Old business sites with their warehouses and offices cast great shadows and make one wonder about their histories. Many of These exist just outside of small towns and are little treasures which I feel the need to record/
