I was looking through some fairly recent images and was drawn to the red umbrella and a kind of related shape with the flower.

Rainy Day Wall
This wall is an ideal location for rainy day shooting. The relatively subtle colors and textures seem to be strengthened by the wetness. The shapes of the doors and windows are also interesting for thier patterns.
Farm Views
If we get far enough out of town the rewards of older working farms are great. I enjoy the colors of some of the subjects as well as the farm implements.
Color
Obviously, the unifying theme is color but the patterns and textures ar also interesting to me. Because of the patterns and textures, I think the images would work well in black and white, also.
The Old Water Tower
Al and I found more old, industrial magic in West Greenville from what probably was an abandoned mill site. The blend of old timey industrial engineering, sculptural appearance and aging as well as the shadow are hard not to love.
Trees
Trees always catch my eye with their traceries which work best against a blue sky. I also like the shadows they cast. In the Spring the first leaves are fun to watch as they emerge.
Odd Bits and Pieces
Alice and I recently visited the Folk Art Center in North Carolina (https://www.southernhighlandguild.org/folk-art-center/). Photography is not allowed in the building so I shot a few things on the outside.
Reflections
Reflections are so much fun to look at and maybe think about a bit. Have fun.
Shadows
I love collecting shadows and when a few seem to work together I share them. there may be a repeat or two now and then but that’s OK.
More Florence Hotel
The Florence Hotel has so many little treasures from the sitting room to the actual hotel rooms. I wish more hotels were like that.
Studies
These three images seem to be about shapes, patterns and colors and how they work in an image, least today.
