A while back my buddy Al and I wandered around Clinton, SC and I found the old buildings and some of their details engaging on lots of levels.
Shopping trips for groceries and other things can provide a rich lode of things to photograph. from parking lot markings to produced and products.
My search for relatively unspoiled countryside can be rewarded within 20 miles of home and here is a place that really appeals to me.
Rain on windows and windshields makes a filtered effect as the it splatters and drips down the glass forming a wonderful scrim.
Obviously, the unifying theme is color but the patterns and textures ar also interesting to me. Because of the patterns and textures, I think the images would work well in black and white, also.
These three images kept popping up at me and they are sort of related structurally and by color and they are fun.
I love black and white images but color is very appealing, too.
These are from Al’s and my walk pin the
Connestee Nature Park. The toning is via the Palladium Tone filter from the TLR Digital Black and White Toning Set which may no longer be available. Started to play with it and for me it gives a rich, warm feel to the images.
Wandering the streets of any town or city yields some interesting images, which is what makes photography so much fun.
