On the ranch property there are wonderful rhododendron tunnels and individual trees and a bit away from the ranch the kudzu is eating a bull-dozer.

Heat, Kudzu. Old Buildings and Inspiration, Another Ride
Al and I took a ride out to Pacolet, SC and found what we were looking for, namely. old buildings and kudzu. The inspirational graffito on the corner of an old building was a bonus.
The Old Store and Gas Station
Al and I did our usual ride around and we found this now abandoned store and gas station, another reminder of days past.
Kudzu, Our Southern National Plant
The ubiquitous kudzu vine is a living fixture int the South of the USA and threatens to to engulf us all but is very attractive in an odd sort of way. I enjoy the forms it takes as it covers trees, etc and it provides a neat backdrop for runners.
Roadside Tangle
When we ride around I see all sorts of things like old buildings covered by kudzu, interesting especially in winter when the leaves are gone and there is only a tangle of vines. The old garage is across the street from a stream which is also uncovered by loss of kudzu leaves.
Out Again to the Countryside
Al and I went out fairly deep into the local countryside and found an old farm with the inevitable kudzu. The current forest fires gave everything an odd bluish, smoky haze, good for photos, bad for breathing.
Kudzu and Friend
This has been a great season for kudzu, though I may be finished with my current kudzu search. While looking for the greenery, a runner came by and sort of made my photographic day.
Kudzu
IN the South kudzu is fast becoming our signature plant, overgrowing everything. In color the images are not that interesting to me but black and white shows the forms and textures of the landscape as draped with kudzu.
