My original intent of this blog was to make myself an assignment to make picture a day and post it. That soon went by the wayside and now I am trying to do that again, at least a little bit. Fall is a great time and the spent hosts leafs are enchanting to me.

An Old Home Place
A few days ago Alice and I found an old house but I forgot to put a memory card in my camera but the light was lousy, so nothing lost. The second time I was more careful and here are some of the images. The old home and surrounding property is magical.
There were more things to see but they are for next time.
Our Base Station, Santa Fe
These are views of our “backyard” at our rental home in Santa Fe. It was great to return there after each day’s travels.
Spring Has Sprung
Winter, Again
Morning Kitchen
When I do the dishes, I see things that intrigue me and disappear when either eaten or put in the dishwasher.
pineapple Portraits
Items from the grocery always hold a fascination for me for things like color, texture and volume of form. The pineapple is especially fun to look at. Maybe the slice comes next.
Playtime
After tramping in the snow, I go inside and play.
Table Time, Again
Short Trip
There are so many things to see around home, like brilliantly colored plants, cherries on white plates and a big strainer. These short trips around our house are rewarding.
Home Again
I felt it was time to shoot around the house again and here are a few images of home.
Home Flower Arrangements
Our grand daughter, Catalina brings flowers which she prepares. I take the pictures either on the kitchen table or from the deck railing.
Tripping at Home
The home remains one of my big inspirations with the play of light and shadow on various structures.
Floral Day
I shot some photos of a floral arrangement that our grand daughter made and a few daffodils from our Penland trip. I love flowers.
View from the Deck
Looking out from our deck, I can see lots of project beginnings so keep tuned in.
Yard Shadows
Standing on the deck with a bright sun makes for great shadows.
More Snow Px
For some of us, snow is seasonally unique and we cannot take our eyes from it. I know folks who had enough snow growing up and they could live without it.The first image is the most successful of my flash tries and the rest are from the backyard or deck.
Guess What?
Well, last night we had our first real snow in quite a white and it is beautiful. The first photo was an experiment using my new flash and it turned out sort of interesting. The rest are yard px. I love the way snow silences the air and softens the outlines of things. It is great around here until going out for something means hitting the road.
We
Home, the Ultimate Vacation Site
There are flowers aad colors outside and inside our home amd I find them stimulating photographically.
Lunenburg, NS
Alice and I just got back from a two week trip to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, a lovely placewith friendly people. The first set of images is from our rental house located on a really perfect spot.
