Trees
Here are a few of my favorite trees. Their textures and structure always get my attention.
Around Cataloochee
On the ranch property there are wonderful rhododendron tunnels and individual trees and a bit away from the ranch the kudzu is eating a bull-dozer.
Biltmore Grounds
The house and gardens are great but so are the surrounding working farm and forest areas.

Walk in the Woods
These are from Al’s and my walk pin the
Connestee Nature Park. The toning is via the Palladium Tone filter from the TLR Digital Black and White Toning Set which may no longer be available. Started to play with it and for me it gives a rich, warm feel to the images.
Trees
Trees always catch my eye with their traceries which work best against a blue sky. I also like the shadows they cast. In the Spring the first leaves are fun to watch as they emerge.
Connemara Pond, Flat Rock, NC
Connemara, the home of Carl Sandburg,is a great National Park site to visit with its original house and large pond, not to mention the goat farm, (https://www.nps.gov/carl/index.htm) I love the pond in the Fall.

Table Rock State Park, SC
The colors, verticals against horizontals and layering are what I saw when I shot the first image and the delicacy of the weeds and water surface of the second appealed to me.
Late Fall Landscape
The late fall landscape is beautiful with its tracery of trees, warm tones shadows.
On the Road, Again
Yesterday Al, Buddy and I went riding around the woods going to the mountains. The regenerative power of nature is remarkable as displayed by the trees and brush growing into the rock that was blasted away for the road.
The Rocky Coast of Maine
Our Friends’ Yard
On our Maine trip we visited friends whom we have not seen in a while and here is their yard. It encapsulates what I think is the essence of Maine in the fall..
Back to the Blue Ridge
Whenever I wander through my files it is like wandering through my world again. I an compelled to keep coming back to the Blue Ridge.
Table Rock State Park, Pickens, SC
There are many places to seen in theĀ Greenville, SC area such as Table Rock State Park (http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/tablerock/introduction.aspx), I am intrigued by the trees and brush along the shore and the reflections in the lake.
The Blue Ridge Parkway
The Blue Ridge is beautiful and yields many images. These were taken at the Pisgah Inn where we stayed overnight. If you have not visited the Blue Ridge via the Parkway you must.
