I was prowling around the house looking for things that catch my eye and lo and behold there was the cane and umbrella, a shadow on the driveway pavement and in my computer a shot fat a talk we went to last night at a gallery. The shot had nil to do with the talk but was tucked away in the back of the gallery by an exit.
Last month Alice gave a talk at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC on her specialty, computer assisted loom control and it was a great lecture. I could not resist taking a few px in the auditorium and the entrance to the museum. I love the auditorium chair pattern and the head of one of the audience members.
I am beginning to get back into a more productive mood and mode. I am looking at older images in my files as well as seeing some new things. Here are the new things. They each seem to have their little joys, secrets and meanings. I love the related orange things on the table. The old scale and safe at my favorite outfitter in town seems to have many subtle echoes and the biking helmet is a reminder what I am waiting to do.
Cleaning out the thicket of images continues and as usual, I find some things that intrigue me that I want to share. Here are a few pictures from one of our Miami trips. The small stand of trees is on a public golf course and reminds me of great redwoods writ small. The two pictures in the diner are a sort of a “where’s Waldo” plus I think the px are interesting.
I try to find pictures that have some relationship to each other and I think that the two large glass jugs with their subtle shadows has some sort of relationship to the pan with a reflection. The tropical desert chocolate covered bananas just cry out to be shared whether or not they relate to the other two.
