The Euro Car Fest is still with me. It brought back memories with the Volvo 544, our first car tp a few British cars, one of which was definitely out of my range. The details are a reminder that a great, big picture is made of a lot of good little details. There are probably more to come.
Today I went to a local car salvage yard with my friend Sam. I was interested in the parts and the kudzu, which was trying to consume the parts. There will be more to follow.
Here are some miniature cars for which the museum is famous and a few larger cars which are rarely seen in this country as well as an old Mercedes and BMW.
The riches for the motoring enthusiast is beyond compare at the Lane, so here is the second installment of our romp around the exhibit. The machines vary from elegant and graceful to downright weird; I love it.
Sunrise and off we go to Detroit and the Henry Ford Museum, a beautifully organized museum with Mr. Ford’s collection of anything he wanted to collect. Our tour there was brief so I only photographed things I owuld have wanted to collect.
Yesterday the Check Engine light went on in one of our cars and that led me to VintageAuto, a VW, Audi, Honda repair shop and I knew I was in the right place with car and camera. The shop folks have a keen eye for appropriate decoration. 
This morning I was looking through my pictures as I try to organize my photographic thoughts and realized that the depiction of rust might be a neat project; so it begins. With a lot of time and money the cars shown could be restored, I think. At any rate I do like looking at them as they are.
This set of photos is the result of looking through my files and I found my salvage yard set which is what happens to many old vehicle both fancy and plain, a few of which may find their ways to restoration.
Yes siree, car shows display objects of desire, maybe second only to sex, so enjoy.
