When I wander around , I am always taken by how resilient plants are. They seem to poke up in the most difficult environments like between cracks in pavement and along railroad tracks, amazing.

New Year’s Florals
Alice brought a bouquet for my entertainment as she knows these things cause me to get out my camera. I took the vase to her studio where she has a great photo setup with lights and white background paper.
My Daily Pedalling
I try to bike five times a week and I see all sorts of things from the seat on my recumbent trike and I rediscovered my indestructible Olympus Tough camera. Other than significant flare when shooting toward the light source it is capable of good images.
Related, Maybe ?
Working through some new images it occurred to me that somehow these two image are in some odd way structurally related.
Lake Conestee Nature Park
Another gem in the neighborhood is lake Conestee Nature Park, http://lakeconesteenaturepark.com/. It is part of a larger recreation project with ball fields , etc. The lake itself is surrounded by a swampy forest. Hiking and bird watching are two great attractions, not to mention photography.
Paris Mountain State Park
Fall in the Upstate of SC is great and the Paris Mountain State Park is a gem of an example. The combination of great colors and their reflections in the pond are perfect.
Yellow Swords
I was looking back through some photographs and when I do this, I always run across a few px that just stop me immediately and this is one of them. I love the combination of shapes and the varying shades of a similar color pjus a touch of green.
Table Rock State Park
Last week Alice and I took a walk around the lake at Table Rock State Park which is close to home. Woods walks are most interesting to me as the last leaves are falling and the tree branches show their forms. I also like the late fall look of some of the wild flowers.
