These three images seem to be about shapes, patterns and colors and how they work in an image, least today.

Kudzu, Our Southern National Plant
The ubiquitous kudzu vine is a living fixture int the South of the USA and threatens to to engulf us all but is very attractive in an odd sort of way. I enjoy the forms it takes as it covers trees, etc and it provides a neat backdrop for runners.
Downtown Greenville, SC
Downtown Greenville is a great place to stroll and has a “big city” feel to it.
Urban Flora
Similarities
I was perusing my images and found these three and they all had a similar structure though very different subjects. Let’s drink to things that are similar but with different subject matter.
N.C. Arboretum
The Arboretum is loaded with things to see from a row of chairs to park scenes. I will share some of these over the next few posts/
Wandering
Blue Rocks is a fun place in which to wander. Here is one path that seems to work well in color or black and white. I prefer the black and white because it shows the composition better than the color. The black and white also has a nice nostalgic feel to it. The stone formations have good colors and texture.
Leafs
Here are some older images that I decided to work on because of patterns and color. The last image makes an interesting comparison.
Contemplations
There are certain pictures that are kind of like meditations and only have meaning for me when I look at them for a fairly long time and sometimes many times. Here are three of those. I am not sure why they move me but they do.
Blue
I generally save my images because I never know when I will review them and as I do , I see projects starting to form themselves. This time I saw blue in interesting patters. The locomotive cowcatcher is not quite blue but blue enough for me.
Along the Right of Way
There are all sorts of things to see along a railroad right of way.I particularly like the first image because the “old” paddle boat makes such a contrast with the trains. i think the ground shots ar graphically interesting.
The Scenic Ride
When I Catrike about I look for things to photograph and the flowers frowing around y neighbor’s mail box and just the pavement px make me happy.
An Ordinary Day
Here are some photographs from an “ordinary” day spent shopping, dining and wandering. I get as much joy from these days as from days in spectacular surroundings because they are more personal for me.
Patterns
Wandering around small town streets there are always patters such as the pavement bricks, doors, trash and downspouts. Besides the patterns they seem to tell me little stories about how they got the way are and who originated them.
Eyes Down
Occasionally I will look down and see things that work for me like the grass clippings snaking their way to the storm sewer grating, the round, blue water cap and finally the fading flowers in the pot. Looking down is not necessarily a “downer”.
