Cord, Auburn, Duesenberg Museum

Auburn, Indiana is the home of the original Cord automobile factory which produced Cords, Auburns and Duesenbergs. It is currently the museum for the cars of the same name and is is a great Art Deco building. I feel it is appropriate to depict the buildings in black and white as it speaks to vintage nature of the building. The cars are portrayed in glorious color. The paintwork and chrome of the cars of the era was superb. The factory had a standard color list but for #25 you could get any color you wished.

Farmers’ Market

The Farmers’ Market is a feature adjacent to the Baker church. I was taken by the tent i on the side of the church. Even more interesting was the restored red Ford pickup truck of on of the participants at the market.Convergence 2016St. CharlesChurch and Park06172016 (52)Convergence 2016St. CharlesChurch and Park06172016 (55)Convergence 2016St. CharlesChurch and Park06172016 (56)Convergence 2016St. CharlesChurch and Park06172016 (59)

Rust Marches On

Rust marches on, slowly but surely. These are images from a car salvage yard and I was struck by the rust as well as the residual colors. The shapes and the light in a way, brought these old cars and trucks back to life.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA _DSC0007 _DSC0061
