Fog Magic
I love going out to photograph in the fog. The quiet is magical and the muting of the colors and the more distant shapes is beautiful.
Connecticut
Connecticut is one of my favorite places, as I spent my young summers there.
Happy New Year !
Fog on the Farm
Fog and Rain
Most of us hope to have a vacation trip with clear weather and bright sun. In fact, for me, fog and rain make for images that are atmospheric and mysterious.
Farm in Fog
I am trying to get a set of fog images and fog shrouded landscapes seem as delicate and fragile to represent as the landscapes themselves.
Heritage Farm and Fog
The Heritage Farm near Bath Maine is run by a couple who are involved in saving and propagating animals and vegetables with “antique” genetics. It was foggy when we visited them and I love to photograph fog though I find it challenging to recreate the feeling of fog over the landscape.
Fog
We had a few foggy mornings in Lunenburg and the surrounding countryside which made for really atmospheric pictures. I suspect that lobstermen could do without the fog during lobstering season.
Wandering
Blue Rocks is a fun place in which to wander. Here is one path that seems to work well in color or black and white. I prefer the black and white because it shows the composition better than the color. The black and white also has a nice nostalgic feel to it. The stone formations have good colors and texture.
Furman University in the Fog
Yesterday, Karl, our grandson and I went shooting at Furman. Foggy weather is great for taking pictures because it softens outlines and allows for a kind of mysterious image.
