Ice cubes in a sink have what I see as great pattern, structure and bear a relationship to icebergs. They are also an interesting substrate for manipulation.
Some my recent images spoke to me with their roundness and they are pretty cool.
My car windshield during a rain is a perfect filter. I like the unpredictability of the raindrops and dribbles. The background also gets neatly blurred and red taillights really pop out.
As a kid I was told to “Watch where you are going” and I did and still do. Besides not tripping, I always seem to find things that interest me.
The above images reflect my lie of plants, especially in black and white when patterns are important.
When I was in college our Band Director, Hunter Wiley, euphonium player for the New York Philharmonic, would comment on a wrong note which actually would sound better than the right note. So, I do not discard images which are serendipitous “,mistakes”..
